FBL1n- Vendor line item display
Business scenario-FBL1N gives you the vendor line items. This report is run every day by the AP department.
It provides the open items, cleared items and all items for a vendor or a range of vendors.
Menu Path–
Accounting- Financial Accounting- Accounts Payable- Account FBL1n

Or directly through the tcode FBL1N
Â
Enter the details for which you want to run this report.
1- Vendor number– This is the vendor for who you want to fetch the line items. You can also enter a range of vendors or select multiple vendors in here.
2- Company Code– Enter the company code that you want this report to be restricted to.
3- Select the date range. In this example, I have chosen the option of Open items, but you can also enter cleared items and all items.

In the screen above, hit execute once you enter all the information.
You will get all the open items, i.e., the invoices that have not been paid.
The red icon shows that the invoices are still open. Once they are paid, they will change to green.
Â
Let’s select the other option of cleared items now.
Go back to the main screen and select the radio button of cleared items.

Once you hit execute, you will see all the cleared items.
The status of these invoices has now changed to green.

You can subtotal, add filters, etc. by clicking on the icons below

In this example, I subtotalled by document type, and you can see that there is now a subtotal for each document type.

Click on the green arrow back and go back to the main screen.
This time, we will choose the option of all items.
Â
This option brings all the invoices regardless of whether they are open or cleared.
At the bottom of the screen, you will notice that there are more options.
You can select special G/L transactions, customer line items and more from here.

A layout can also be added in here. This will bring up the fields that you want.
Click on the layout field and do a dropdown and pick an existing layout.

Once you select the layout, you can save this as a variant.
A variant is very helpful when you will be entering the same information a lot of times.
E.g., if you have a lot of vendors that entered into the report along with many company codes, rather than entering them again, you can save it as a variant and fetch that variant the next time.
