Overview- Use ABGL to enter a credit memo. The credit memo reduces the cost of the asset capitalized .
This Credit memos may be posted to the asset for any mistakes or errors in the values from your settlement.
Note- This tcode is used for isssuing credit memos in the year of the invoice, else use ABGF
Use the menu path
Select Accounting->Financial Accounting->Fixed Assets->PostingAcquisitionCreditMemo->In Invoice Year
Enter the following
Company Code- Company Code for which the asset is created. Represents the legal entity. E.g. 1000
Asset-Enter the asset number
Document date- Enter the date of the Original Document (Credit Memo)
Posting date-
Date of the Asset Posting. This is the date on which the credit memo is affected in the system.
Transaction type- The transaction type controls various aspects of the posting. Use a standard one or create a custom one for this purpose.
Click on enter and go to the next screen.
Enter the following
Amount posted– Enter the amount of the credit memo
Asset value date– Enter the asset value date.
Offsetting Account–
The entry is required as the system looks for a second line item to post the balance of the transaction to.
The system will supply the G/L offsetting account defined as the Contra Account: Acquisition Value account in the Fixed Assets account determination.
Text– Enter a reason for the credit memo and the original document reference number. This would enable the user to keep track of the postings.
Click on Save
The asset transaction is posted
click on transction->display to view the transaction.

In case I made a mistake with the amount i input when running t.code ABGL, how the reverse the entry?
